At this month's Advanced Card class we made these two fall themed cards. The first used Day of Gratitude stamp set with Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait and Cajun Craze. The medallion was embossed with black embossing powder we then used sponge daubers to add the ink beginning in the center and working our way out. We cut the medallion out and finished it off with an antique brad. The black satin ribbon was scrunched on to sticky strip. We finished the card off by punching the saying out with our new Decorative Label punch which was embellished with designer jewels. The medallion and saying were popped up on stampin dimensionals.
The second card was created with the French Foliage stamp set using the batik technique. The colors I chose were More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red and Crumb Cake. We clear embossed the leaves, shading over the entire surface of the very vanilla cardstock with ink. When finished we iron the cardstock between newsprint, recycled from purchases at Michaels, removing the embossing. We finished the card off with satin Early Espresso ribbon and the mini vintage tags.
